Hunterdon County Bicycle & Pedestrian Access

The plan calls for bicycle & pedestrian facilities along Hunterdon County roadways and right-of-ways for the purpose of improving non-motorized access and safety.  The plan encourages township & boro municipalities to do the same, with links to the County plan.   Samples of improved facilities include Church St. (between Hwy. 31 and Hwy. 202) and Voorhees Corner Rd. (CR 650), in Flemington.  Support the plan by mailing to the Hunterdon County Planning Board, Hwy. 12, Flemington, NJ 08822.

NEWS

Pedals for Progress (P4P) - recycles old bikes to those in need of a bicycle for transportation but cannot afford one.  Call P4P 908-638-4266.   (minimum processing fee $10.00 per bike required, make checks payable to Pedals for Progress).

Both sides of the Delaware River now have groomed cinder surfaces.  Trails are scenic, flat, shaded, no cars and food stops.  Stop in for free maps:

• NJ = Frenchtown to Trenton

• PA = Easton to Yardley
